On the 18th and 19th of April, the IMPROVA consortium gathered in Amsterdam for a dynamic two-day reunion marking the project’s 3rd General Assembly.
On the 18th April, consortium members had the pleasure of participating in the day-long event “Doing Interdisciplinarity in Youth Research”, organised by the University of Utrecht.
This included an immersive series of workshops and presentations aimed at fostering
dialogue, collaboration, and innovation in interdisciplinary environments. A highlight of the
day was a compelling keynote speech delivered by consortium member Rocío García-
Carríon from Deusto University, together with Maria van der Harst from the University of
Utrecht. Their address, “In dialogue for equality and inclusion”, shared valuable insights they
gained from experiences working with unfavoured populations such as Roma communities,
and highlighted the importance of dialogue and collaboration in overcoming social inequality.
The momentum continued into day two with the official IMPROVA General Assembly, in
which discussions involving members from across the entire consortium helped to make key
decisions regarding the next steps for the project, with a particular focus on the upcoming
field trial. After a day of fruitful dialogue and decision-making, our consortium members left
feeling inspired and energized by our shared vision of driving positive change in the mental
health of teens.
